Does anyone else ever get this. It has only happened to me twice but it is a right ol bugger!!

I'll be recording and bouncing my heart out and then randomly on say T3-V4 i get the disc card error, and start hearing other parts of the song on loop in the backing of my track.

I found that if i start mixing/bouncing from scratch and ignore the infected track things are ok but i have no idea what causes this.....any clues?

NCK - Forgive my ignorance of your particular problem, I've never physically seen a Micro-BR (Though I know from the sounds uploaded here that they do the business). What intrigues me though, and this applies to some of the other BR threads that use Memory Cards, are these cards too expensive in some way for the BR Owners' to purchase 'spare' cards to work with? I have the BR900 (CompactFlash cards), and I've bought at least a dozen 1gb cards (over the years) just to have that spare capacity.
Would it not be a good idea/insurance-against-loss to purchase additional cards?

I have other cards but when you're in the middle of recording a song and have spent a few hours on it the last thing i wanna do is have to start over with a new card.

Hi Nathan - I have had this problem myself (Along with OldRottenHead, Ferryman and others). It's a wacky thing that usually happens when bouncing or mastering.

The good thing is your original data is usually ok and all you have to do is rebounce, but after doing THIS(As per OldRottenHead):

Copy all the data to your computer, and then reinitialize the card. Copy all the data back and you should be able to get back to business.

It happens with new and old cards. You should also have extra cards handy, like SteveB said ;)

I have had this happen twice now on extended recordings (live stuff over 30 minutes.)  Its frustrating.  Perhaps a new card is in order.
