I have a new song on myspace called "On The Wall". I would like some imput about how it is mixed and the song in general. It's at www.myspace.com/craigmellgren   Thanks to all who can give feedback, Craig810

I think it sounds good. Regarding the mix, it's pretty good. I can hear everything reasonably clearly. I would perhaps like to hear a little more use of panning (or maybe a touch of EQ) to get a more of a stereo effect. The only thing I didn't like was the drum machine sound.  :)

Thanks for the input grolschie, any suggestions about how to make drums sound better? I'm not a drummer so any input would be better than what I'm doing. Thanks, Craig810

Hey Craig;
This is  very well put together song.
Panning sounds quite good to me. Maybe I would've spread the harmony vocals over a wider stereo spectrum (yours seem to be down the middle mostly), but that's just personal preference. Maybe a bit of reverb/echo on the drums would make them sound more "live", but once agan this is personal preference.

Nice one  8)

I haven't really messed with the drum machine on the BR600 much, but I understand that one can import samples to replace individual drum sounds.

Programmed drums can sometimes sound a little metronomic to my ears. Perhaps you could find someone could record some drums for your songs? There are some collaborations going on here. Could also try kompoz.com.

Another idea could be to start your song workflow with creating the drum track with a loop based computer software package. You could then export the drum track to a wav file, and then import into the BR600.

Just some ideas.  :)
