This is not a Disco - ODH Original

This song came to me pretty much intact during the small hours of Monday morning. I managed to capture the lyrics ( the words, not the singing) and drum pattern without disturbing my wife.  It's actually the first original song with lyrics I've produced this year, which is shameful.

It's a song contrasting the complexity and confusion of life with its triviality.

There was going to be a guitar part but there wasn't space for one.

It came out of the idea of conflating two PiL song titles (This is not a love song and Death Disco) trying to capture the indie disco feel.

What can i say? We all have our pains. Trials & tribulations. There's no getting around it. It might not be Disco, but one of your foot is firmly planted in that genre. You're a punk i get that (and you're feeling lucky!), but at the sametime i know you invented new dance moves while doing this...

It's too groovy to suggest otherwise

Speaking of which. I get the PIL influence, but in a good way. When i first heard PIL i thought it was pure garbage. I still don't like most of the stuff they do, but i'll live.
