"Now & Then" New Beatles song
I took on the challenge of being the first to cover it

Make no mistake, this is obviously a tribute: the Beatles song "Now and then"on You tube has had over 19 million views after just 3 days!

That's why the Beatles are the Beatles ... and JP is ...an aficionado from almost the beginning (I say almost because, at the very beginning (Please Please me album) I preferred the less clean rolling stones (stunning album with Route 66, walking the dog, Can I get a witness, Carol, I'm a king Bee).
...but very soon with the evolution of the Beatles ( Revolver,Sgt Peepers, white album, etc) they became for me the absolute reference (with Brian Wilson and Beach Boys)

I used a complete orchestral score I found on the Internet (I'm sending it to those who are interested...) and spiced it up with a little Dobro for the instrumental chorus.

good listening dear friends

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Well done JP for being the first to cover this song - I haven't even heard the Beatles version yet !

It sounds very good and I suppose when I do hear the Beatles' version I'll think "That's the Beatles' cover of JP's song"  ;)

How about a song from the new Rolling Stones album?

Congratulations on getting this out there so quickly, JP! It's been on my radar too, since probably my second listen to the original. Alas, work has kept me extra busy lately.

I like your vocals, and I like the dobro - that was a nice touch.

Thanks guys, it was a fun challenge to do this cover quickly.

Well, it's true that it's not difficult to set up a few major and minor chords, well in the style of Beatles ballads...with the score (in a score, all tracks are notated in solfege; including the drums); and with the help of the Band in a Box guys (piano, drums, bass, strings) it's child's play

and it's also true that we now have means of home recording other than those used by the Beatles and others in the 70s.

On this subject, I found a book on the Internet called "In the studio with the Beatles" by their sound engineer at Anney Road Studio...does anyone have any idea about the content of this book?

it's true!...so I'm going to stop with this song, otherwise I'm going to get smaller ;D
