Wasted Years - Iron Maiden Cover

I was thinking of a cover to do for the 21st century fest and started on this one only to realise it's even earlier 1994. I used to ask my Dad did he not have any modern movies in his DVD collection and he always said yes and listed off things like Jaws, Towering Inferno, Close Encounters, etc. We always laughed and remembered to him, anything made around 1970 onwards classified as new. I think I am starting to suffer from the same thing!

Anyway... I enjoyed getting the feel of this down so continued.

I enjoyed trying to do this to improve my singing/playing abilities and bass too.

I am dedicating this to my wife who has been a bit down lately.

That was good Mike. I don't know the original but I like that style of rock song. Think your voice is sounding really good. Singing has always been my weak point - before I retired I used to spend 3 hours or more a day travelling to and from work so I used to get chance to sing along to music  but apart from a little bit of backing vocals with the band I only really get to sing when I'm doing a recording and with my son working at home most days since Covid I have to keep that quiet.

this is quite lovely Mike... I really love everything about what you have done here.  A powerful play.  The bass sounds just right to my ears... very nice lines too...isn't bass alot of fun?  I love it.

That was lovely - great vocals, I really enjoyed that. Had a few clipping issues here and there, but may have been my audio, but didn't get in the way at all. Loved that.
