Wow Greeny  this is just so romantic.  I like romantic songs.  JUst an excellent vocal and great lyrics.  Andy R slush is good.

There's nothing tech about it, lol. I just put the BR on a table (guitar soundhole level), put the mic up to max on the input volume, and recorded it with the 'OnBoard1' patch on.

It's as close to a 'sitting in the room with me' sound as I could get. And it helps that the guitar itself has a lovely tone.

Very Nice, dreamy & romantic... I love it!
I very much enjoy the way you are adding strings to your compositions.
It adds such depth to the already lovely sound tone of your guitar.
Bravo Tim!

beautiful song. I love the tone of the guitar. Some really nice lyrics too. Those strings are quite spacey, I like that!

When ever I hear a song that sounds this good I think it's a cover song. it's an instant classic. This is a really pretty song Greeny!

Not my fave of yours musically but the thing I really like is your ability to put your real emotions into your work. You wear your heart on your sleeve and you're not afraid to show it. It's something I find really hard to do and it always adds real depth to your work.

Cheers,

Nigel

I really struggled with this one. Not the performance of it, but just the concept and feel of something so different to what I normally do. It started off with drums and a bigger sound, but I stripped it right back.

I wasn't even sure about posting it, but my girlfriend loved this new stripped-down version. I'm trusting her judgement on things these days, because she tends to be right on most counts, and sometimes I just can't 'hear' things properly when I'm in the middle of writing and recording them. I'm coming round to this one slowly though.

I've been re-visiting Don McClean's 'American Pie' album recently, and I think this one owes some influence to him. In fact, I realised what a big influence he's been generally. Anyway, I'm rambling now... ! lol

Yes, I think the stripped down version works. The power is in the emotion and the lyrics, rather than the arrangement. It could easily get a bit too slushy. I think your strings worked well here, and they are nicely done.

I still personally prefer songs about crazed ventriloquist dummies though, although I guess that probably shows I am trying to hide from my emotions   :)

Cheers,

Nigel
