A new original! Another sort of piano ballad, I came up with the chords one and went from there without much idea of a song in mind. I got to use my newish Grestch on the song for the lead lines (plus the Dano 12 for good measure). The melody and words came fairly quickly for me (at least quick for my case  ;)). Enjoy...

Korg E-Piano
Sterling Ray 25 Bass

Mixed and mastered on Garageband

Cold wind blowing,
Flowing through the day
All sense is slowing
To a halt that's within the haze

And I wonder why,
Will I realize

The walls hang silent,
The motion is under the load,
Am I to pilot?
The exposé that is down the road,

Cause I wonder why,
Must I stand aside,
And watch you fall to the end of the ropes
Leave you for them to alter the course

I'll never give in I won't leave you behind,
It's always within my own fault of design
You walk through the halls and you stay in the echo of a distant mind

Great unknowing
Take me down to the dormant sea
Cold wind blowing
You'll never know it was always me

There's nothing i'd change in this one. It's the real deal. Solid package of retro influenced songwriting with a satisfying wrapping around it.

But you must be the sixth Beatle...

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

This is great songwriting! I like this Beatles-ish sound. The bass line is very cool especially in the 1st musical interlude. Excellent words and vocals. The Gretch and the Blues Jr. work well together for a solid guitar solo and sound. The piano is great choice as the main ingredient that gives the song it's sweetness. Well done Keith!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

for me this is very Todd Rundgren, which is about as fine a thing as can be...

super job young Mr. Berry!  The song chugs its way along like a slow train rambling along a winding river, just a lovely thing!  The keyboards are fabulous.... I do think that Dave and you rub off on each other a bit and yet you are very different as well... this is a really nice relaxing tune...
the arrangements by you are always first class, this is no exception.
the keyboard here is the star along with the vocals... but all the rest make this a sure fire hit...

Great melodic track, Keith and very nicely produced. Cool lyrics too along with excellent instrumentation.

This is a real beauty, Keith. The piano brings to mind Brian Wilson or Todd Rundgren, but it's all you, man.

I love how you fit that lead guitar in there - and it fits perfectly.

I put this one on repeat.
