21st C Fest

I have tried this song a few times the last few years, trying to learn to sing and play better. But this was a good time to try getting it down with this fest. Here it is... a live take, just acoustic and vocals. I saw Noel Gallagher a few years ago and to be honest he was magnificent.

Also a first try out with the new mic... the Rode NT1-A. I placed it to the side of my guitar as I played trying to not have it overpower the vocal, but could have placed it a little closer.

I'm not familiar with Noel's solo career but what a brilliant track. That acoustic is heavenly and the vocals are so soothing. I should check into him more! Lovely performance

I don't know this song Mike but I like your take on it. Being a one-off live recording makes it a special listen. The NT1-A is a great mic for picking up details at a distance. Your mic placement seems to be at the right spot because I can distinctly hear your acoustic's tone and harmonics. Plus, your cool vocal is well balanced with the acoustic. A great recording and performance!

It has that style going for it, but turns out you really make the songs your own. Which is always a great thing.

the kake on a single vocal/guitar mic is not obvious...but you seem to have found the right placement...very beautiful song, congratumations .I've also had an NT 1-A for a few months now and I'm really pleased with it...
