Yesterday i was thinking about Ray and his songwriting. He's a master craftsman and a storyteller. The story driven songwriting and the never ending quest for new sounds and rhythmic ideas is what keeps his songwriting fresh. It's something we all should aim for as songwriters. Perhaps not if we were to enjoy life in the Ramones lane, but otherwise widening the horizons is a good thing.

The way Ray strings up these stories make me think that he'd do equally good as a writer.

There's sadness to the song and the story. But perhaps there will be a follow up with motorbikes and loud noises...

Outstanding lyrics Ray! You encapsulate all the emotion within just a few verses. Cool choice with the quieter production. The ending ambient swells are so beautiful and evocative. Superb!
