MP3 conversion (again, no doubt!)

Hi folks. Hope someone can help me.

I've recorded backing tracks with my band in the studio using their equipment and have the finished results on CD. I now want to add vocals using the MicroBR, but the CD tracks have ended up as WMA format.

Ideally I'd like to record them in 'realtime' via the line in. How best do I go about this? Or do I need to convert them from WMA to wav or MP3?

Many thanks and please excuse what may be a daft question(s)! ???

You could very well record the wma via line in, but why? You are better off to convert to mp3 or wav (Since it is wma, probably should convert to mp3 - probably no advantage to go to wav now.)

This is the best I've seen for windows when dealing with wma:

The free version will do basic conversions for almost all audio types - it even has a "Right click on the file" option.

Good luck,
