I was having a tinkle on the ivory and this came to mind...it might be a load of old tosh but it filled some time .....thanks for listening

The house was by the river 
where everyone desired to live
The forest was a shrine
for those who couldn't forgive
The small city
Was large in everyones eyes
The facade of houses hid all that was despised
The yellow city seemed so full of flies
The suburbs by the sea were seen as small
Everybody behind the  grey walls sat and cried
for a loss of all those despised

Karl was a confident man
He wanted it all
He wanted everything around him grand
The Austrian solider sat by his side smoking a pipe
He'd lost his future it was no where in sight

His friends sat round the cold round table
Waiting for an individual explanation
Karl raised his hand
The hermits started to congregate
they formed a rock and roll  band
The heroine stood on top of the mountain and  sang

Intriguing story, lots of lovely imagery. I kinda of zoned out nicely with this playing and time kinda stood still. I like this piano/vocal style you do sometimes Trev.
