An attempt to try and do things a bit differently but not sure I was at all successful.

it is what it is.
There's a hole in my head
Where the words come out
There's a tear
In the fabric of time
A fissure, a leak
From a big black hole
A secret place
That we can almost reach
So let's aim for the moon
On this dog gone night
Let's go for a walk
To the edge
Of our comfort zone
To another place
Somewhere different
Somewhere new
Let's shake things up
And make things happen man
Let's start again
Do something different
I'm getting bored
I've done this all before
Let's stop this song
Do something different
Ah let's plant a seed
And watch it grow
A new idea
Needs water
Pluck the weeds
Prepare the soil
Oil the wheels
And hey let's go
Let's shake things up
And make things happen man
Let's start again
Do something different
I'm getting bored
I've done this all before
Let's stop this song
Do something different
No we don't have a lot of time
And you don't really have to rhyme
So get on board it's just a ride
Let's see ........  where it takes us

Nice one! Yes, it's tough to break the mold and do different stuff. But as you say, it's fun along the way! ;D

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Hi James,
imho you sang a bit louder and I ejoyed that. Please tell me what you did different.
I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

I really like the percussion in this track... it really drives forward and sets an inviting base for the rest of the sonic loveliness... excellent track imo

Trist

very poetic and mystical, has a  little bit of new wave about it which is cool, has  a very searching style with the style and melody line, which i personally liked

In my book you were very successful. Love the insistent riffing of that gentle guitar. I guess you are using a load of delay or something but whatever it is really sweet. They back up those beautiful words perfectly.
