From the Beginning is a song by the English progressive rock band Emerson, Lake and Palmer, taken from their 1972 album Trilogy.

Corné (Physical Teacher) asked me if I could do the instrumental part... I didn't know this song but there are lots of tutorials on you tube about the arpeggios for the guitar part...

So here it is "from the beginning to the end", thanks Corné for the vocal part

(strangely enough, I couldn't find a cover of this song on SC...)

PS I don't have Keith Emerson's keyboard skills ..so I made a bit of a mess at the end of the piece, it's a Lam improv so it's not too hard. :D
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

A real classic by ELP. I've always loved the chords to this song and the way they ring out to set an atmosphere of longing. Some fine guitar JP and cool vocal, physic teacher!

Love this tune. I used to know this tune, but I never learned where that little trill is. It didn't matter how flawlessly I played, I would butcher it horribly when I got that damnable flutter. I refuse to actively learn it at this point.

On to your rendition...simply fab. Nice playing, singing, and that acoustic records well.

Fun.
