Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Killer version! Stripped back and honest.

John Fogerty announced a date near me, and from what I can tell, he still brings it. Hearing this tune may have tipped the scale toward going. So many great tunes. John and I should attempt this at gigs.

I agree, simple and good. I liked your take on the song. I played this in my first cover band so many years ago. It's one of those songs that people like, isn't too difficult and just plain feels good to sing.

I love this song and you've done a brilliant job doing it live and solo take putting your own spin on the vocal - "live in the kitchen" (I assume your wife was preventing you from using any other room by banging around too much ;D) - and you get a quite decent audio recording - is that just a phone video recording audio?

That's ready to play live in a pub or coffee house, I would come listen for sure!  I did a "studio" cover of this song where I tried to stick more to the original (not totally successfully, but good enough that I was proud of it): https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=30719.msg364474#msg364474   (I see you had commented back then - thanks for that!)

I wish I could be more comfortable doing a loose live take, as you do, not worrying about sticking exactly to the recorded version, and just rolling with it. I recognize I just need to practice recording myself live, forcing myself to play songs all the way through without stopping.
