USB Connectng... Is all I get when using usb with windows xp and vista

Hi All,

I'm new here, however I have a Micro Br and I can't seem to get it connected to my PC.  The only thing it says is USB connecting.  I'm not sure if anyone else have run into this.  I'm stumped.  Maybe a song could come out of it.

Does anyone know what I have to do so I can get my pc to reconize this micro br.

Thanks,

Jason

It says in the subject you tried on two computers - seems like a cable or a connection problem in the device.

ORH is making good sense - I have started directly putting the card in my built in media reader instead of using USB. That's ALL the cable does anyway is provide access to the card.

Good luck!

Try Disconnecting printer and anything else that is connected USB, if it's connected to your computer, reboot the PC, then connect the MBR.

Mine connects when I plug it in and turn it on or if it's turned on.
It does not open automatically however, I have to search on My Computer for the remote hard disk so I placed a shortcut of it on the desktop.

Are you connecting the USB cable directly to your computer, or are you going through a hub? If the latter, try connecting directly. If your computer has USB ports in the front and the back, try using the back ones. Sometimes they are different. And try disconnecting all other USB devices so that the Micro BR is the only USB device connected to your computer (except for keyboard and mouse if they are USB). If you still can't connect, try a different USB cable.
