This one's a rock song.  A rock song with an important message.

This song started off as one of Trevor's demos, to which I added a section and a few other bits here and there, and did a bit of an arrangement.

Hans Zimmer helped me out with his strings samples.  Synths and Hammond were courtesy of Arturia vcollection.
I gave my Floyd rose ultra strat a bit of a bashing in the solo. Drums were from EZ drummer.

I will, as usual, post a link to the Soundcloud version where you might want to listen to the wav version.  I had to do a very low quality mp3 export to make it suitable for here.

We like this one.

Paul Chapman

You say mother superior
she knows the way
As her velvet glove grips your hand
She leads the way
I try to swing your belief
That no good will come from this pathway
All I hear is your cry
All I hear is your cry

You try to convince me
you've found the light within your dark
All I hear is you trying to convince the black dog not to bark
All I hear is your cry
All I hear is your cry
All I hear is your cry
All I hear is your cry

There is no tomorrow in your eyes
Just the here and now to despise
I hear your silent scream every time
I look into your beautiful eyes
I see that happiness that smile is nothing but a disguise
I watch you fall into the dark this drug I have learned to despise
I hear is your cry I hear is your cry I hear is your cry I hear is your cry I hear is your cry

Roll up roll up roll up lets see who's going be the winner with the roulette wheel lets get the ball rolling
Who's the first to die
who wants to inject their neck with this dangerous drug
Who wants to snort it up their nose
Smoke it
Lets chase the dragon out of the room
Who wants to lie there unconscious
laying in their own piss and  vomit
Finding breath hard to take
Slowly sinking into the darkness
Back into the void
escaping the black dog
Running away from life's problems that are too hard to face
Who would like to live with the needle
Who would like to inject it into every vein
Who wants to die

I want to help you break down your walls
I want to help you live
I want to help you break down your walls
I want to help you live
But I need your help to break you out
I hear you cry
I can hear you cry
I can hear you cryI can hear you cry

I suppose that I should not find humor in this and yet I do...
love the sounds immensly... the music track is perfect and well formed... Trevs vocals deliver the goods (ie the lyrics) so well...

I suppose this song is serious... and it is... and yet I like the whole thing.. those guitars sound great.

Another great track from you guys. Excellent production/arranging skills and Trevor's vocal/lyrics are first class. Always love your guitar work, Paul but this one excels - fantastic soloing.

I always enjoy your collabs, profound , so much in them. Nice work on every addition! Complete in every way , really, but also a great listen.

When Chapperz calls Zimmerman answers. That's how it goes. That's all i have to say about this.

(Oh, and Trev. You're really a wonderboy... Maybe slightly older than that, but you get the drift :)).

So well written song! I love that 70's style keyboard tone...and each instrument is nicely panned. It sounds so dynamic! Killer guitar solo, btw.

Trev's voice is so good on songs like this (his voice works fine on each genre, tho...)
