This was the first one that came to mind, and one that I often play for fun. It really was a big song for me when it came out, and it still resonates now.

This is all Epiphone Casino and Fender Jazz bass. I did tinker with some piano like the intro on the original, but I preferred keeping it guitar-centric. GarageBand drums. The whole experience made me realise how brilliant the playing and production on the original was. The layers of guitar are incredible - and unique.

Pete C

Excellent, a very tasteful arrangement of a classic.I think your layers of guitar are as incredible as U2's but put your own mark on the song. Lovely vocals too!

Ted

Maybe this is a weird comment, but this sounds more Irish than the original. Something about the guitar riffing.

This is not your usual vocal feel. I'm not sure I would have known it was you. Have you done other songs in this range? You do it well.

Great cover!

I did not read who this was before starting the list... my guess from the guitars might have been Mike S but then when a maybe 14 seconds of vocals I said no, that is mature Bono!  Well done Tim.  I guessed it was you.  However, I am with Ted, tis not your usual singing style... although I have listened to over a hundred of your tracks, maybe more and some many times.  You don't always sing the same way, that is for sure.
As always though I find your vocals entirely satisfying.

This happens to be a very favorite song, and perhaps my favorite U2 song... you did an amazing job!

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Stephen is right when he mentions your many ways of singing. Loved it Tim, and it even faded out like a classic tune!
Great listen!
