"Run To Me" by the Bee Gees.
Released in 12 April 1972.

If ever you got rain in your heart
Someone has hurt you, and torn you apart
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
And let it be like they said it would be
Me loving you girl, and you loving me
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
(To love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
And when you're out in the cold
No one beside you
And no one to hold
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
And when you've got nothing to lose
Nothing to pay for, nothing to choose
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
Run to me whenever you're lonely

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Rene!  Missed seeing your name around the site!  Glad you could come back with something this good.. it is a great song and I have not heard it in a very long time... those old Bee Gee songs were so good...

I love your version of this...singing, strumming, chording,,,, it's lovely... yes... those high notes are beautifully done...

Perfection as always Rene! I love your vocals on this man, so deep and soulful! Brilliantly captured too, the recording here sounds excellent. Stellar performance!

An enjoyable listen as always Rene, even though I don't think I've ever heard the original. Always a pleasure to hear your songs

Such a great arrangement. I'm not really familiar with the original version, but i'm sure that even if i were... I'm sure that this would stand on its own. This sounds so much like Rene rather than Bee Gees that although some of the melodies etc. have that BG mark, you've clearly added your own mark into it. And done it so well.

That playing is so gentle sounding. It's so natural and there's nothing forced even in those chord melody -type of sections. And yes, the classic Rene vocs are there. Beautiful stuff!
