What a GREAT idea!!  I haven't been checking the MBR site for a couple of months, but I'm glad that I did tonight!  I am going to get working on a couple of things.

It's extra cool because I am co-hosting a small(couple hundred people) music festival next weekend(August 9) in which we are celebrating Woodstock's 40th!  Each participating band MUST do a Woddstock setlist cover song!

If you are in Western PA, come on out!

It was 40 years ago today.

Today is the 40th Anniversary of the first day of the 1969 Woodstock festival.

There will probably be lots of reunion concerts going on. One that I read about is the Bethel Woods Music Festival which starts today at 4:45 pm EST with a performance of The Star Spangled Banner by 15-year-old guitarist Conrad Oberg. Other performers scheduled to appear are Levon Helm Band, Jefferson Starship, Ten Years After, Canned Heat, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Mountain, Tom Constanten and Country Joe McDonald. Leslie West of Mountain is supposed to get married on-stage after Mountain's set.

hey 64...just watched the Woodstock movie from beginning to end with no distractions and with headphones. It was like seeing it for the first time. There were a couple times i felt tears in my eyes...which doesn't happen. It was a magic Time in Space....

I had the same idea a few weeks ago. However, I stopped the DVD after the Sly & the Family Stone set and got sidetracked with other things. But your message reminded me to watch the rest of it, so I did that on Sunday. Thanks for reminding me!

Well, the Woodstock festival is officially over. Now we can all get ready for Rockfest which starts October 31 at midnight.

If anyone was working on a song for the Woodstock festival but didn't get it finished in time, please finish it anyway and post it. I'll still add it to the jukebox/song index page. I started one myself but still haven't finished it. If I ever get it done, I'll post it.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed. We had a total of 30 songs. Not quite as many as NeilFest (44) but still a pretty successful festival.

Great fest 64. I had a good time learning the tunes I did and I learned a little bit about my BR600 in the process.

There were some really good tunes uploaded for that "fest". I'm anxious to hear what you haven't finished. Git-r-done!

Thanks for your hard work in organizing the "extras" (index, jukebox, etc.).
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

I've got one in the works too, and still need to put the finishing touches on it.

Do you reckon that there will be a ZIP file, all nicely tagged like last time?

I haven't listened to most of these yet, but I definitely would if I could get them into my PiePod in bulk.
