Go BB!! I agree with 48...this is excellent! You kept it interesting with your licks and used some good dynamics. Testify!!  8)

Thanks for all the super fine comments.  This was such a great backer, when I heard it yesterday I felt so inspired.  As soon as I started playing over it I was possessed by the blues Gods.  I felt so great playing with this that when I was finished and it was posted, I was flying high.  I could barely get to sleep I was so pumped up.  I was overtaken by the power of the Blues!!! Hallelujah, good God almighty, I got my mojo working!!!!!!  Thanks for all the great comments, really made my day.  Who else is up for this one?

Very impressive. This is quite a long one (the backer I mean) and I'm wowed by the way you can keep soloing without making it repetitive. Great sound as well, love that chorus-y feel to it. I really like the double stops fairly early on, there's some clever stuff in there.

You were touched by the hand fo the blues god!

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks Nigel, as for that chorus-y feel, what I did is double track the lead guitar.  The original take went L5 with reverb at 40, then I copied the track and offset it 1/10 sec (I think) and panned it R5 with less reverb (20 I think).  It sure thickened out the sound with out sounding too effected.  You always say your hearing is not too good, sheesh good pick up on that one.  I was trying to make it sound like early Eric Clapton in the Bluesbreakers when you hear him in live recordings there is this natural compression and chorus-y tone from the amp being so loud in those small clubs that he played in.  That was the idea anyway, I was trying to channel Bluesbreaker era Eric Clapton.

Lets give a big round of applause to AverGo for finding this backer and starting this whole thing, thanks AverGo, see what you started!

Excuse my obtuse elephantry, but I'm feeling a bit of a post hog today (Or at least a reply hog :D). After reading your review on the Sheraton, BB, I listened to this sweeeeeet track again.

The fact that you just whipped this up amazes me.

And so.........BUMP!!!!!!!
