No Mike I was talking about Earl Hooker in the second video posted by sprocket.  That video is from 1969 so it appears that he was a bit of a minor star in the 60s, maybe even played London like the other blues greats did when EC was just learning his craft.

The way I understand it, is Hendrix dubbed him(Earl Hooker) the "Master of the Wah"(for reasons like the below example) and that sparked an interest inside the British blues scene...and the British blues scene sparked a revival of the MASTERS when there was no market for blues acts in the US, they all flew over to the UK, alot of times on the dime of groups like the Rolling Stones(Muddy Waters/Howlin Wolf).

This is Otis Rush doing I Cant Quit You Baby...which many Zeppelin fans will immediately recognize. Ive noticed he has a slight lisp in many songs...that just sends me chills.

What I really love about him so much is that he is a lefty, but he plays lefty strung righty, so the stings are upside down...so hes strumming down from high to low, and doing his scales and sweeps(lots of sweeps) backwards to use righties...and for me this is a wonderful blues sound, and heavily incorperated by many more modern legends.(BTW Albert King the only other bluesman I know who ALSO plays this way) I try to emulate this as much as possible!(work upwards for a change)

I grew up with this 1986 movie, "Crossroads", starring Ralph Macchio....yep, Karate Kid!! If you've never seen this movie, do your self a huge favor and pick it up...I got the DVD for $5 at Walmart.  Anyway, this is a long clip, and it doesn't get really going for awhile...And, no, Karate Kid isn't really playing lol, but damn it sounds great(and besides, somebody is, right?)...BTW, that's Steve Vai he's battling for his soul...Please watch the end if you have time, and care to be blown away and inspired!!

Further On Up The Road has always been a fav, no matter who does it.

This is Clapton doing an Otis Rush tune, and playing a Les Paul(dubbed the Beano Burst)...I kinda like Otis's vocal better, but Clapton nails the song.

This one just plain out scares the sh*t out of me.  It is the sound of a man loosing control of his mind.  Now that is a topic for the blues.  One of the first heavy metal songs, way ahead of its time.  Scary and cool at the same time.  Peter Green is the man.
