My 'Lost in 2022' submission. Truth be told, I didn't follow Procol Harum very closely, though I did like what I heard from them. Gary Brooker, their principal singer/composer, left us in February 2022. This is one of my favorite tunes of theirs. The complex harmonic structure, and wide ranging melody made it a real challenge.

I usually play any string or horn parts on my synth, but I decided to experiment on this one. I scored the orchestration with my music notation software, exported it to a WAV file, then mixed it with the rest of the parts. The native GM voice package in the software is pretty poor, but technically it went pretty smoothly, for a first shot.

i didn't know this song...very successful i love the structure indeed quite complex

Hi Frank,
This is my first listen to this song, and this is a superb composition, very emotional and musically complex.
Your instrumentation is very nice, and the vocals is well done!!!!

I could have believed you wrote this... because IMO it fits you perfect Frank!
good job on the tech here... why not try new things? It rounds you out into a more polished product.
This sounds good to me.
I would say though there are sounds in this track that are making me look around the house to see what the heck was that? spooky kind of.. this would work in a movie track too.
