Wow a real live violin. this is great.  YOu are doing just wonderful.  Very melodic.
That violin really adds. And your guitar playing is excellent. There are many good bass players here,  I am sure someone will add if you want them too!! Also you have the crecendos etc. really great.   Just a good job overall.

There's nothing like real instruments.  That violin sounds flippin' great.

I would like to give it a try. Sounds like C Am F & G with a few variations.
Do you have a chart?

Oh yea, sorry i forgot to post the progression....

After importing, set Tempo on the MicroBR to "110"
The blank space in the beginning is just for extra workspace for when I am lining up tracks in a DAW. I am currently using reaper for the final mix, but I used the micro BR for all recording.

For all the acoustic picking It is mainly within the basic full chord structure.

 Progression is;
009-0-00 to 025-0-00 intro and  Rhythm pattern 1 (Cmaj, Amin, Fmaj, Gmaj)
025-0-00 tp 033-0-00 Verse 1 (Dmin, Gmaj, c-b-Amin, Fmaj, Gmaj)
 033-0-00 to 041-0-00 Rhythm pattern 1
 041-0-00 to 049-0-00 Verse 2
049-0-00 to 059-0-00 Chorus (Cmaj, Amin, Fmaj, Gmaj, Dmin, Gmaj, c-b-Amin, Fmaj, Gmaj)
 059-0-00 to 067-0-00 Rhythm pattern 1
067-0-00 to 075-0-00 Verse3 (Amin, Gmaj, Dmin, Gmaj)
075-0-00 to 091-0-00 2nd chorus and solo(s) (Fmaj, Cmajor, Gmajor)
 091-0-00 to 107-0-00 Rhythm pattern 1
 107-0-00 Cmaj chord ---fade

 Lyrics;
 Verse 1
I'm trying so hard to fall in love with my life
But I can't seem to find what it is i'm supposed to like
 I could pretend everything's alright
but I'm ready to break, cause there's no end in sight

 Verse 2
And I wish I could say I'd be better off dead
No one really cares so I might as well live
I just wish it could be like when I was a kid
 When everything was

 Chorus
Shiney and New, Sparkling and true
The dreams that I had, yea everything was so cool
The sun always shone, and the sky was so blue
As endless was time.. Life was fully in bloom
 It was shiney and new

Verse 3
But then with age, the darkness came
It changed the world in the sadest ways'
 War and Pain and Misery
All in the name of supremacy

 Chorus 2
Oh why'd it have to change
No, why'd it have to be this way.....

Ok I got most of it and will finish a bass tomorrow. Did you want just the bass WAV track to do your own mix? Did you want it dry?

Awesome! thanks.

first off, As I mentioned I've been working on this in Reaper, .....welp I've just discovered the whole VST effects plugins thing and how to apply "FX" to each track like compression, limiting, etc. so more or less the whole mix has changed drastically as I've been tweaking a lot since I posted this the other day.

This is really my 1st project using a DAW, so it's been a major learning process.

See the reason I want a "Bass Player" to write a bass line is because I am a guitar player and my approach to writing is completely wrong when it comes to bass lines and it always ends up sounding like a guitar player playing a bass. SO... I would prefer your "wet" track with whatever amp/speaker/effects you used as it is a huge part of your sound IMO.

So yes, I would like just the bass track, I think an MP3 would be fine? as I'm not sure how we would go about sharing the WAV file as they are huge. Honestly though if you want to mix it in yourself I have no problem with that at all either so I can get an idea of how you think it should sound in the mix.

Let me know what you think, and thanks you very much for taking the time to work on this with me.

great song, love the violin, the production and mix is crystal clear and your singing is great with lots of expression and emotion, a dark subject matter tho, very heavy, hope its not where you are personally.

Of course I hope you like this, but the truth is, altho I own and love to play my bass,  that does not automatically make me a bass player.
If you think this will do, I'll send the bass track separately so you can mix to your liking.
I'd also like to add some harmony vox.
Send me your email if you want the trax.
