This is a collaboration i did with Terry Wigmore. Terry provided the vocals.

I came up with the idea for the song after watching a tv documentary on Addictions, drugs, alcohol paranoia and depression. It's something that affects a lot of people unfortunately.
I tried to set it all to a 80's synth sound, with some fuzz guitar and slow drum style. trying to keep the feel of it all a bit unsettling.

It's a bit long I'm afraid,lol.. nearly 6 minutes, but i did all the music first before thinking of lyrics.
I put a distorted effect on the vocals too to give an unusual sound.
Quality isn't brilliant as had to reduce file size to fit.

wowsers man!  This is hypnotic and mesmerizing.  Cool theme for a song and yes so real... the music fits the narrative to a t....

I knew right away this was a different vocalist... it's great too... tell the man good job for me!  I dig the style too... it is a bit Floyd on a few spots... wicked good stuff...
I really like the guitars weaved into the keys...it's like when vines crawl on a fence or up a tree... pretty soon all you see are the vines... but this song never got to that...you could always still see the tree and the fence... along with the vines.

Quite a dark but awesome song Darren. It has an Iggy Pop Idiot vibe to it with a dash of Joy Division paranoia. I really like the processing on the vocals here, it adds to the synthetic quality of the song. Atmospheric to the bone!

There's this understated funk groovy that immediately sold all the paranoia and substances to me. I'm trying to enjoy the song while going deep into the underground with a needle and a spoon...

The vocal sound is somewhat menacing. The playing is playfully dark. The "let's go into the tunnel, it'll be fun" type of groove that keeps on building is too inviting.

I'm not sure if this track works as a cautionary song. It has a celebratory darkness that's too inviting.

when a song can produce such fun and interesting comments that means it is a great song... I already knew that though...
