I just couldn't resist the temptation of trying to salvage the "vocals" with some pitch-shifting :D

Everything except the drums are played live thru Yamaha DX7. No midi, or Vsti instruments were used.

That DX7 sounds wonderfully chunky, and great vocals to go with it, too (even the pitch shifting sounds really good).

Smooth, man.

Sweet.....sounds like Bowie down a long hallway in a spaceship hurtling through space en route to Betelguese with SteveM at your side ready to lend a hand......it's that and more dude.

Great rendition of a classic! Almost Prince like... you gotta love that thick-ass synth bass!

Great version! The DX7 is a versatile old beast. Love the pitch shifted vocal. Nice work!
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Those high vocals work great as a backing vox. That's almost crazy. Great use of the DX7, too. I actually found one in the trash and traded it for some amp parts to a local repair guy. The memory was shot and I was in no condition to mess with it but it did power on. I sometimes wonder what happened to that thing, if he got it working. Listening to this song makes me a little nostalgic for what could have been. Good job.
