Another "love at first listen"  :)

Spotify suggested me this one...really a fantastic tune!

It seems it is an original by the great Richard Thompson for a soundtrack, although the type of the melody and the song structure reminds me a lot a traditional Scottish tune.

So, I've been looking around if there's a "Glencoe" traditional, but the only Glencoe I've found is the "Ballad of Glen Coe" and "The Massacre of Glencoe"  ??? and both of them have nothing common with this tune. So, our Scottish friends here on SC will confirm if it's a traditional tune or not.

Anyway: again just plain guitar (Gibson SJ200) played in EADEAE. Bass & drums Band-in-a-Box.

The drone of that guitar tuning most definably gives this s song a Scottish feel  well done

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I am a freak for Michael Hedges, Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Page, and Bert Jansch but rarely do I explore any alternate tunings than dropped D.  This was beautiful. Makes me rethink my guitar neck. Spotfiy did you a solid.

this is so beautiful and relaxing... wonderful recording too...

I love harmonics... many folks won't use them because they get "overused"...but the reason they get used is because they sound so great...

loved that ending there.
