Usually after I finish a song it goes on the shelf and I move on. Not with this one though, I think I've already posted three different versions.

This isn't a new version, it's an extensive remixing / remastering of the last version. I've dialled back on the guitar distortion, added a treatment to the vocal and turned down the drums (I realised recently I often have drums too loud). Also I'm better at mastering in GarageBand. There's also a keyboard part which I think was muted before which I've included and brought out.

So I hope this isn't too much of an indulgence. It's my favourite version (of mine anyway)

This is cute and cuddly! Those banging drums, low key rhythm guitars and warm sounding vocals.

That keyboard part is a thing of a beauty. It comes out of nowhere and pushes the production values of the song way up higher and opens the sound.

I hope you'll get a white Christmas. We're getting swallowed by the snow. I can send you some...

I like this version, and always love this song.
White Christmas is always a great thing, and your music is much appreciated.
Piano solo is very nice, perfect mix of all instruments.
Thanks for this beauty.

It's funny how you can get obsessed with certain songs. For me it's the theme from "The Munsters." (Well, that's one of them.)

I enjoyed this take, and the keyboard part is great – kind of comes out of nowhere. There's almost a Springsteen feel to the music – but without the bombastic Springsteen vocal delivery. One thing I've noticed about your performances, is that you sometimes take a vocal approach that tells a slightly different story than the music and lyrics (e.g. "Going to the Zoo"), and in doing so, you add a layer of complexity to the song. This is the case here. You do not sound like someone "dreaming" with hopeful anticipation. You sound like someone who is trying – and failing – to force enthusiasm for Christmas. (I can relate.) I want to think that this effect is intentional – because I love it.
