I recently bought Native Instruments Session Horns Pro and was experimenting with it.  It seemed to fit perfectly into a new song I was working on.  Some of the horn arrangement here was edited pre set patterns and some of it was my own arrangement.

Hope you enjoy it.

Am I awake or am I dreaming?
It is so hard to tell
You have numbed my better senses
You know me so well
Something in me has to know the workings of your spell
But I'm so close that I can't see what's in store for me
Can you give me one small clue
or must I keep running blind?
Could you tell me anything new?
Will I be left behind?
You have me so curious
Intriguing. I'm hypnotized but blind

Is this the truth or just a cruel lie?
Has it been all a farce?
One day I'm basking in your love light
Next day I'm in the dark
Your alluring bright brown eyes continue to mesmerize
Will I ever learn your secret?  Will you ever tell?
Constantly a back-and forth.  Contentment to despair
What you've done to my poor heart is more than just unfair
It's so hard to see it through
and fine what really pleases you.

                            (Break)

Is there a way for me to know exactly where I stand?
Could you make it a bit more clear? Do I misunderstand
what you're really all about?
I beg you.  Please don't leave me behind

another John Bee stunner!  the lyrics are just so good... and I can totally relate too...
the music is at the same level as the lyrics and vocals...so it is all very good, very pro...
it is nice that you can find new tools/toys to play with and build sounds with... isn't that a good fun and challenge?  Good for the brain to learn new things...

a little Chicago too... like it.

Merry Christmas John!

Always enjoy listening to your music, John. Love the flowing melodies and abstract harmonies, all placed nicely in the mix. Horns sound great too adding that Chicago feel that Stephen mentions.

The Chicago-ish horns sound great John. Really good lead vocal, harmonies, lyric and melody. The bass and drums even remind me of Chicago. Well done!

Very cool. Nicely constructed song and I like the vocal delivery. Trumpet sound is a nice touch.

Lots and lots going on here listened to it twice to catch everything the key work is sublime and complex sounding at the same time
Nicely done

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Really cool song John.  Intriguing chord sequences, fine vocal and lyrics and the muted brass adds to the slinky feel.  The drummer was on form and the false ending almost caught me out. But I know better than to hit stop to soon!

Fine song.

That playfulness. Those melodies. The chords changes and harmonies fly way above my head yet you're still making it all so easy to access.

Those vocals are great (as always) and the mix is the definition of clear. Those horns sound great too. And that bassline.

Great song(writing) and arranging skills.
