Sorry - I missed this one! Great work. It has nice combination of driving rhythm and jangle. I don't know the original, but I like it! Excellent post.

Nice raspy voice there gob - fits nicely!! Like Greeny said, I like the driving rhythm and jangle!!

The only thing that I would do is add a little guitar solo in there....

Nice job, and I agree with Satchwood bout the solo, although die hard fan might call it sacreligous.

Felt like I was in a club or pub listening to that.

thats the sound i was aiming for well sort of, anyway im not much of a soloist, everytime i try to do a solo i get my fingers all up in knots. But if you guys wanna beat around the bushes with it, be my guest. alrighty, later folks.

GOK - This is a very commendable rendition, well done. I first heard this song by The Seekers in the 1960s, and have also got the Neil Y version, minus the intro on audio-tape. Both are less punchy than this, but it does seem to be one of those songs that can take almost any interpretation. You do yourself and song much credit. You should post more.
