You say you'll get by, think you can fly.  Turn up the tricity, we'll fly the simplicity, implicate you in your duplicity, you'll be running form your animosity. 
HO ho ho ho ho... you craft your words, to be unfurled ... you say you'll get by... you;ll get high,  your words are big.  They are big.  Cunning in your days.  Fly with words.  Linguistic challengers your linguine fettuccine fetishes.

I always love your guitar work and melodies. Some great guitar licks and fx here. I think you're right you do sound like a lot of those influences, I can hear them. Loving the multi layered vocals.

First off that just a great little opening riff. It's so cool. I love the lead guitar tone... have you an octave pedal in there, sounds great. Then those lyrics, really creative and intriguing. Great tune Stephen.
