You really know how to put your own twist on a song.  Great cover of this Tina Turner hit.

Great mix job and great vocals on this one I did not miss the high-end class sound and I think this song is fine without the high-end dinging distraction

This is the first mix Zoltan did.  I like it.
but, to me it's too long so I like the one better Zoltan did above and I placed at the top...
I like that he called it the Vietnam pirate version...

Listening to this I really like this rough, grungy, garage rock type music.  I want to do some more covers.  I want to cover "1959" by Patti Smith.

This would be the type band I want to be in.... bangin drums, bass and a guitar...and crazy singing... just rocking out.
hey... fantasy can become reality....

Not familiar with this song, but this sounds awesome.  Great singing!   Great playing all around and great mix.  The cheap drums (that is not your newest set?) sound fine!   I posted a Beatles song on here many years ago and people commented that I sounded like Lou Reed.  At the time I hadn't actually been very familiar with Lou Reed except for maybe one or two hits.  So since then I have listened to some Lou Reed and velvet underground.   I still have on my to do list to mix your drums on my song. Just been insanely busy at work.

Dave,
thanks very much for the good words on this... I need to do this one live with the other guys.

Doug,
I was experimenting with acoustic drums to see if in fact it was a place I wanted to go.  So I found this kind of a toy set on craigslist some guy was trying to unload so i got these... I had so much fun but soon realized I was holding myself back with this garbage too much... I ended up donating these hoping some young person would get these for Christmas cheap and then I bought the Tama set (which is great but actually considered "entry level" drums at about $900.)
I haven't regretted this decision and I have to credit Zoltan for kind of nudging me along in his ever so persuasive way he has....
this site has made a huge difference in so many peoples lives and especially mine... I am no longer ashamed of my music in any way... I owe that to this site and all the great folks on here.

That's heartwarming to hear.........I know what you mean........I had a horrible time with my singing voice......but kept at it because of this great site and the encouragement.........your music is authentic, creative and original as all heck........and joyous........what's not to like .......not too many folks can get to where you are getting .....it's pure soul music

Joy. You don't get it every day and sometimes a while goes by before that elusive feeling shows up. But I certainly got it here!

Whooo hooo yeah!

Definitely goes in a different direction from the original. Yeah, I hear VUG, or maybe Talking Heads.
Really good take on the song.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.
