Ha yes i too get the "limited space/time" thing. I record vocals and my wife sits in the other room, the door is closed but she is in pain from my efforts (especially in my more unusual destination insanity moments

I ran out of time yesterday before a bunch of noisy people (wife, kids  ) arrived home

Since I fixed up the attic first to make it habitable (big job of thermal insulation plus plasterboard, painting, electricity, of course I did everything myself despite my dislike for DIY with age
...but the secret motivation was very strong : to make a space only dedicated to music
What a joy for me...and for the others because it's painful to hear a guy repeating the same musical or vocal phrase a dozen times (..and sometimes more)!
