Wow... this is damn good. We had the orginal of this on in the office a mere 30 mins before I heard this, and your version more than stands up on all counts. That guitar is SPOT on. Lovely production job too. All-round excellent...

I started working up this song for the Neilfest and thought I ran out of time.  I'm glad I didn't follow through.  This is just killer.  The guitar is great.

Nice post.

Just great Lestg, raw energy in the guitars and a voice that cuts through it just the way it should.  Drum programming and bass is spot-on too!!

Great work!

Hey LESTG!  I responded to your comments on "Gone," so please read if you haven't already and please reply so I know we're good. ;D

This is my first LESTG piece yet and I am more than impressed!  This is without a doubt one of my favorite Neil Young songs, and probably the one I would've done if I'd have had time to contribute.  Thank god I didn't.  Yours would've blown mine away.  The dirty guitar tone is AWESOME!  Also, your voice is very smooth and perfectly in key.  Your voice is different from Neil's, as you said, so you've really made this song your own!  I would've loved to have heard this with real drums because the drum beat is really cool in this song, but within the limitations of programmed drums, you did a fine job with the beat.  I think the bass should come up, but I ALWAYS think the bass should come up, so that's just me.  I agree that the reverb is a bit much, but the tone of the guitars is still very clear, and nice and dirty!  Much more so than the original.  I love this one -- including the badass ending riff!

Fantastic work. ;D :) ;D

Les this is excellent. Your rhythm guyitar tone...geez man...sounds like you sampled it right off the record! I love that tone. I thought the whole song was ace end to end...better than i could ever dream of doing it. What a great contribution to the Fest!!

A lot of thanks to everyone...I had to read a bit about Neil Young...when I first started and did Cortez the Killer ha found out he use double drop D mostly, not on Cortez though. I couldn't get the sound right and when I read about double drop D I though that must be it. Almost redid it and then smashed my fingers. But I'm glad I didn't

Cheers! :)
