I kind of like this one.  It's a bit different, but also the same...weird!

used the Epiphone Nighthawk with no effect chain, just plug output to the record board, Zoom L20.

also this is a continuation of my infatuation with Casio keyboard drum patterns.  This is a Jazz setting with variations that I started the whole track from.

bass is epiphone DI to record board.  Microphone is the MXL condenser to the Zoom.

mixed on Bandlab and Audacity.  Mastered with Landr. Not a valid attachment ID.

Staring out the window, looking at the plants.  Getting microscopic, looking at the ants.  Scurrying around, down in the ground.  Do they thing of me while I make my tea?  Busy little creatures, all around the earth.  Carrying out their purpose, carrying their purse.  We all got our baggage, except when they lost your at the airline, that is the worst.  Now I am searching for another verse to help me waste my time.  Trying to be sublime.  One day, I'll get serious about life and all it brings, love, food...and in the meantime I will stand here at the microphone attempting to be something I am not, attempting to forget something I forgot.

I (semi) recently purchased a casio ctk-720 just so I could play with the patterns a bit... but I've never actually gotten around to do so. Been busy. I have to say, though, if you hadn't mentioned it, I would never have guessed this was casio drums. It sounds pretty good. I like your guitar and your melodies.

Nice laid back song, Stephen and nice chord changes. You come up with some great song themes - the first part of this one about ants then evolves into something very different.

This is soo cool Stephen.  Those guitar chords are the epitome of super clean and the lyrics are just inspired.

I shall listen to this again.

One minute you're rocking it, next on acoustic guitar, now a jazzy sort of song - you're certainly unpredictable but always produce something novel and interesting. Love the guitar and bass on this and a cool vocal too.  Your creative side is certainly flowering !

Hi Stephen,
Excellent original song!!!
I love the beat and timing of this song, and the lyrics is so playful and imaginative.
The guitar and drum tracks are so crisp, and your vocals bring about a warm and dreamy image of time passing by.  This jazzy beat works really well with this song, and I love it!!!
Truly creative and original!!!
Thanks for this beauty!
Rene
