Photographs & Memories: His Greatest Hits is a 1974 greatest hits album (and second posthumous release) by Jim Croce, originally released on ABC Records.

The album was released a year after Croce's 1973 death in an airplane crash.

One of my first guitar riff that I learned. I was First Year in high school when this song came out.

My treasured years in Davao City High School are my best years, and love and respect to all my high school friends and classmates.

This song is dedicated to Doris A., currently in the Netherlands.

Hope, Peace and Love!!!

Feedback is much appreciated.

Jeez, you sing a beautiful song with everything you post here, Rene. Sometimes I think I hear a Cat Stevens influence, then perhaps a James Taylor one then I realise you have you own unique style of presenting the songs. Lovely clear recoding too. Great job.

I would like to know your microphone(s) and your effects chain
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

So that's how it's done! I'm not sure what i learned first. It was probably chords from The House of the Rising Sun mixed with Smoke on the Water riff...

I think i should have started with Croce instead :) Then again i don't think i would have thought much of Croce at that time so there's that. I might have instead taken on a flute. We can only wonder what a talent was lost :(

All kidding aside. I gravitated towards this track because it's a Rene performance. I wanted to just hear that voice and the gentleness of playing. This is yet another great cover that takes the original and turns it into a Rene song. That's the real mark of a great performer.

Croce was on the radio while all the ladies were busy crocheting their various items for their loved ones and homes... everyone heard and loved the Croce!  Because let's face it, you don't mess around with Jim.
He was a major folk hit who did not get to shine long enough.

I'm continuing to enjoy your series of covers, which all amazingly match my musical tastes almost exactly.  I hear your passion for this music.  Your solo guitar playing is special.  Do you play gigs?  You should... I would like, for example, to sit in a classy restaurant and listen to you!
