John Weldon "J. J." Cale (December 5, 1938 – July 26, 2013) was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and sound engineer. Though he avoided the limelight, his influence as a musical artist has been acknowledged by figures such as Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Waylon Jennings, and Eric Clapton, who described him as "one of the most important artists in the history of rock". He is one of the originators of the Tulsa sound, a loose genre drawing on blues, rockabilly, country, and jazz.

This song is dedicated to all guitar players and songwriters.
A song as simple as this is pure beauty and truly majestic.

Hope, Peace and Love to all peoples.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

never hear JJ but I have heard of JJ because of the acknowledgements of some of the said artists above.  This is a wonderful song and it sounds amazing here Rene.
Your strumming and choice of chordings often remind me of a favorite, America.  Of course they had generally alot more instrumentation going on but these sounds are so like that.  One thing I would say though is that the times I heard them sing live I realized the vocalist did not sound any where as good live as the recordings.  In your case however your vocal is essentially live and they are superb every time.

these days I don't care that much about listening to artists I haven't heard before unless I can have some sort of interaction with them.  I enjoy this because there are many, many talented folks that deserve to be heard and if I can spend what time I have giving my ear so be it.

..the same as in the beginning of Imagine by John Lennon :)

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
