Panning

I have comeback to playing guitar and bought a BR. In the old days if you recorded you used a cassette recorder and a microphone.
The BR is a bit daunting, by comparison, but I have recorded acoustic guitar, added reverb, saved to MP3 and uploaded to my PC.

I have two questions;
Can you record and save the recording to two tracks.
What is the panning for?

Panning controls where the sound comes from.

The right speaker or the left speaker, or a percentage of both..

yes you can save to 2 tracks-you have to arm 2 tracks
