the manual clearly  states some where that you can playback up to eight tracks and After reading a little further I think I have found what they mean on page 50 the hint would be eight tracks total?
Some one who is familiar with the manual may be able to locate the statement about eight tracks playback better than i, seeing as how i can;t find it now anybody shed light on this or am i just dreaming that I saw this in the manual.Help!

The Micro BR can play back only 4 tracks simultaneously. Anything in the manual that says it can play back 8 tracks is a typo. All of the BR models are very similar in operation, so they probably created the Micro BR manual by starting with the manual from another model and making changes. Unfortunately, they may have forgotten to change an "8" to a "4" in a few places.

The Micro BR has 8 v-tracks on each of its 4 tracks, for a total of 32 v-tracks. You can record on all 32 v-tracks but you can only play back 4 at a time (one from each of the four tracks). You can bounce your first four tracks to a pair of v-tracks, then record two more tracks, for a total of 6 tracks. You could then repeat the process, adding two more tracks for a total of 8, and so on until you use up all 32 v-tracks. Or, you can convert each v-track to a wave file and mix them on your PC using a software DAW such as Audacity or Cubase which can play back all 32 v-tracks simultaneously. The trick with this technique is in monitoring your mix as you record new tracks. You'll probably have to perform several intermediate bounces to a single v-track for the sole purpose of monitoring your previous tracks while you record new ones. But these intermediate tracks can be over-written as you go along, so you can potentially record up to 32 individual tracks on the Micro BR and mix them on your PC.
