Not feeling any inspiration these days for anything original, but enjoyed giving this one a go...

A live take unedited... vocals and guitar done together, so pleased with that.
I added a second take I did of the guitar in the other speaker to thicken the sound.

done to a very basic beat in GarageBand which I then went back and edited, adding fills etc.

And live Bass... pleased with that too as that's probably only my third go at putting a real bass track down. Definitely more "life" than just the midi bass.

Congrats Mike...this is superb!  I think its cool that you played and sang at the same time.  I know doing it alot (more live for me than in recording, but some recording too) has made me better at using the guitar as a better compliment to the singing, and in helping control dynamics...It's incredible on this track Mike because the music sounds almost nothing like the normal Mike S sound.  Love your bass here as well.. that guitar(s) sound gritty, raw, hungry... like some of the greats do... just a great sound Mike.  Some of it too is the way you play that thing, darned good rockin Mike... really really good...

I always enjoy an Oasis song and you've done a great job on this.. sounds like a live performance but in your own style.

Great job Mike and kudos for the live performance.

I never really got Oasis (I'm making lots of friends here with this revelation ;)) and i never really cared of the Foo Fighters(* either (Take it easy Grohl!). BUT... This is good. This i like. I know the song(s) of course, but the way you're performing it brings it on an another plane of existence.
It's more organic. Less pushy. In lack of better terms.

I do like Joy Division! Did i get any of them friends back? Sean Connery? Stone Roses? (At least one song). Helloo!

(* This has nothing to do with Oasis, but i didn't want our American friends to feel neglegted :)

I kinda dreaded playing this one; I've heard the song done by a fair share of cover bands and people sat in streets in my time that I'm pretty jaded on the track itself to the point of being a bit sick of it. Luckily I didn't regret it - great live take, I like the changes to the vocal delivery. I agree with Zoltan's description of more organic. Great work

I'm with you on both counts, Mr Z, particularly the second one.

When I first started playing I would play and sing never thought about it until I started playing with others and nobody could follow me because I was doing time changes with vocals knew nothing about timing lol anyway this track is great and it has the live feel raw guitar and great vocals

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Great job - I appreciate the unique spin you put on this.  Very impressive that you did this in one take playing and singing - I've been working on doing that as my normal process is doing lots of edits. It is very hard for me to sing/play a song all the way through without messing up - but it is a very worthy goal, to really get inside the skin of a song and master it, as you've done here!
