Great songwriting and story. It's an excellent collaboration. The music is just great, acoustic, lap steel etc. all sounds great. Love the vocals and those brush drums too.

Well young Ted (and Jean Pierre), to say that this song is excellent would be insulting you both, it is so, so much more. The juxtaposed personal and poignant, always a winning combination. This laid-back, bluesy story-telling to me is reminiscent of Tom Waits at his finest. I can well imagine you both (age notwithstanding), on a small stage in a smoky bar circa 1966 regaling the clientele with tunes and tropes filled with wit and wisdom beyond your years. Well done both of you. I've also downloaded the YT vid to view/listen to again at leisure.

Ted,

I have not listened to the song yet,
However, in the picture of the odd plane you posted,
I enlarged it and the plane seems normal enough,
however, looking over to the left a little bit,
appears to be a triangular-ish vehicle of some sort....

WHOA....

I'm off to get your song a listen.

I had missed this one - so a good bump.  Bloody fine song and JP's dobro and steel are fantastic.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Wow, this is the good stuff guys. Is there any objection if i link this on Twitter?
I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.
