Thought I better get on the fest
Acoustic guitar Epi 200 plugged into stereo spread wide
some strings
and a little vocal seeing it is raining tonight sounded like a good song to play

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

really superb the guitar sounds very well in DI (...I can't get a sound like that...)
the string layers are excellent

I said to myself (I didn't know this song) Tim forgot to say who this song is from :)
I finally found on the internet Emerson, Lake and Palmer :)

"C'est la vie" I thought to myself! a song in French! ;) ;) ;) but no it's just the title, c'est la vie is a very popular French expression internationally

I'm still waiting for one of our English speaking friends to publish a song in French ;)

Bravo Tim..c'est un premier pas :)
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Love the moody feel with the stereo effect. It sounds like two different guitars. Is it one take through a stereo chorus, or two different pickups, or some other trick? Or is it two takes?

On my most recent tune I used a stereo chorus and recorded the left and right to different tracks, and tweaked each track with different effects – and they don't sound as distinct as what you did here.

Great vocal performance too, BTW.

This is very different than most of what you post Tim imo....  underneath the playing of the guitar is typical (not saying boring or poor but just how you do it) you.  But the main difference is the progression is a little different with that walk up and then the strings change this so radically... sounds super.

Ted this song was done using a ephiphone EJ 200 it has two separate pickups you can tweak each one then blend the sounds and play with one output or plug two cords in and send to separate tracks which is what I did talk the wife into this guitar because we were playing small venue acoustic sets and said it would be better than the ovation in case we were not plugged in the real reason was gas

Hi Tim,
Your Epi sounds really good, and the vocals is very emotional.
I can feel the sad minor chords, and the release of the sky feeling the emotions... rain tonight.
Lovely!!!

sounds like your reasoning won her over... probably better than sharing your gas with her!!!!  lol
