"You May Be Right" is a single written and performed by rock singer Billy Joel from his 1980 album Glass Houses. The song reached #7 on the US charts and #6 in Canada. It failed to chart, however, in the UK. This is unlike his preceding and succeeding singles "All for Leyna" (UK #40) and "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me" (UK #14). The Japanese single features "Close to the Borderline" as a B-side.

For all the "Yes Man" of our world, you may be wrong!!!
Peace and love to all peoples!!!

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

very cool to see the great Rene on the juke box list... now I can grab downloads for the road...
I realize it's likely sacrilege for me to say this but if I never heard another Billy Joel song ever it would in no way negatively impact my life... I just never got his vibe, honestly... having said that you did one heck of a job on this!

A cool cover of this song Rene! Your acoustic versions works very well. My former cover band, in the eighties, had this song on our gig list and it always went over well. Your vocal and playing are excellent!

Hi Trist,
One of my fav as well.
Quite challenging song, and I keep making mistakes on the lyrics, as they just keep coming at you fast.
Love your wonderful comments.
Thank you.

...good thing you're in your own personal juke box, Rene

Good song ...I didn't know Billy Joel well...the only song I knew was "The longest Time"...I don't think there was a cover of this song (not easy) on SC
...I tried it too hard for me

Maybe Pipe could do it ;)
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Well done! You get such a good sound in that room. What is your mic and gear setup for recording? It can't possibly just be you singing into your phone or laptop mic.

When I was much younger – starting in my late teens and continuing to my early 20s – I had a years-long crush on a girl/woman who was this wholesome Catholic virgin. And she also loved Billy Joel. I loved to point out the "bad boy" aspects of Billy Joel lyrics, particularly this song and "Only the Good Die Young."

Love your interpretation.

BTW: I accessed this from your jukebox. Thanks for uploading MP3s!
