Something we did last week. When we pulled it back up last night, we were both repelled, but we warmed up to it after some judicious tweaks.

The lyrics and vocals are great. Yeah it has a cool beat and groove. Some excellent guitars, love the drums and I like the fade out ending.

The honky tonk men!

That break at 90seconds mark is glorious. It's such an aural delight that i would have never wanted it to end.

At times the singer sounded like he'd had Danzig for breakfast. The playing is at time quite trippy yet reminiscent of 90's era Navarro phase RHCP!

Great performances – and that change at 1:30 – but some good lines too. I particularly like:

Very simple, but they paint a vivid picture in my mind. I imagine a skinny white kid in swim trunks a bit too small for him – possibly at the end of a recent growth spurt.

almost has a prog element to it with the bass line.  For me the winner is the lyrics.  It builds the tale of a child trying to muster courage up... something we all can relate to and then that moment of physical attraction.  You told that so well...

I started laughing when I read you were repelled... ha!  Glad you kept at it... because it's a worthy story and the music and vocals are very good... there are many styles in this and kudo's for that.  You two work well together as well... also i love the subtle guitar kind of hidden away in there... heard it more the second listen...

It took me a bit to get comfortable with this but once the bridge with all its harmony vocals hit, I was sold! I like the story of childhood risks and perils. Great vocals, some cool guitar work and I dig the bass!
