By Cecilia and me, another 'waltz' ...

Done

By the time you played girls like your drums
I was already working the hours of a CEO
yet here you are pointing guns
as if I'm the reason why you're an average Joe
Stop putting the blame on everybody else
Need an enemy? look at yourself
I'm so done, done
Counting my breaths, watching my steps
Now I'm done, done
with being afraid of every word I say
You're not the hero of this story
you're just like me, blood sweat and tears
I'm so done

Celia's voice reminds me of Maria Muldua. Quirky little number that goes punky. Divided into sections like a mini rock opera. Nicely done!

TPB

Great collab the keys are a perfect fit for the vocal in the opening then the punk section opens nice twist

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

simply amazing and I really like the vocal deliv and the lyrics... wasn't expecting that overcompressed distorted voc or however you did that...

sounds great to this average Joe...

This is a quite good but contrasting versions of two songs that seem sewn together. Each has its own likability qualities. I'm wondering if the middle, punkish version, was the first demo or the other way around? No matter, I enjoyed listening to both!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Ok, ceci wrote the first piano version, she claimed it was an 'angry' song. Then she kinda quitted the song but it was too good, so I tought about a contrasting middle to make it longer. I wanted to shout, scream but i record in my home so the punk/stoned version came out lol

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

What a great, quirky song, i like the change of styles.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

this song really gets me...it's very creative, putting these ideas together... kind of like a lighter version of thunder following lightning...
it's what I would say is theatric... I could hear this as a musical track in a musical play...super!!!!
also love Cecelia's voice
