I think i just killed death metal!

I did some fuzz tests that started to sound like a song idea. I was going to post this into the collabs area and then got stuck on what title i'd give for the track? I didn't want to impose any ideas, but naming it as just "untitled 1" didn't sound a good idea either. So i named it as the first thing that popped my mind: Absynthe Minded Sailor Heading Towards Ikea. That's kinda vague. I think...

Then i got to thinking that perhaps i'd try to make a scratch vocal with some on the spot invented lyrics. I did just that. It sounded a bit whiney so i thought "how long can you go?" (as in sink). Then i went and redid the vocals in a lower register.

BEWARE! If you're a sensible person and enjoy music. DON'T listen to this. I'm already kicking myself for posting my latest and not greatest abominations.

The "lyrics" are as follows:

Absynthe Minded Sailor Heading Towards Ikea

Can i borrow your yacht?
I left mine at the dock
Speaking of which
What time it is?
It went a bit too late
On the chippie stand
That smell of death
(dead) Fish & chips

CH:
Absynthe
Minded
Sailor
Heading
Towards Ikea

Then there's some additional stuff about wanting a hot dog and where's the bathroom?

There's no bassline, but there's some bottom end (in the vocals :)).

Off the wall stuff. Beefheart kinda weirdness. Interesting vibe. Liking the riff guitar in the left lughole ;-)

yup.... it is really making me laugh...because if I heard this as an isolated song of an artist that I didn't know at all I would probably never listen to another thing they did, UNLESS I happened to keep listening after 1:05 because I then fell in love with said artist voice... and the whole music there was great...but that low voice is kind of scary... I WANT MY MOMMY!!!  OR PERHAPS MY BINKY!  (thumb goes into mouth)

I really like this, the melody / vibe is great. You always do some great original stuff. The guitars and interesting hooks in your songs. I like the variation in the vocals too..yeah, a bit scary that deep vocal haha.

I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

really into those guitar parts at 2:00 and after... worth the price of admission on its own...that fuzz gives me a warm and fuzzy

Don't kick yourself too hard.  I consider myself a "sensible person who enjoys music" and I enjoyed this.  Put some bass on it and it'll really rock.

Really like this, maybe heavier on the bass and grung it out.

Nice job on the Death Metal vocals, I certainly couldn't sustain singing like that! Great ending too!
