I am very pleased to hear you dig Yes. :D  Here are my personal recommendations for albums to buy:

The three I just mentioned are my favorites and most Yes enthusiasts/aficianados would probably agree they are Yes's best.  But you will also need to check out their first two albums, Yes and Time and a Word from 1969 and 1970.  After that came the aforementioned Holy Trinity, which covers 1971 - 1972.  Then, definitely pick up Tales from Topographic Oceans and Relayer from 1973 and 1974.  IMHO, 1971 - 1974 covers all of their best work.  However, there is definitely still some fine music on Going for the One, Tormato, and Drama (the only album with a different lead singer than Jon Anderson) from 1978 - 1980.

After that, they changed completely.  Their stuff from the 1980s is almost a completely different band due to the departure of Steve Howe on guitar and the addition of Trevor Rabin as a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, although there is still some interesting music there and you can hear hints of their former greatness here and there on 90125 (1983) and Big Generator (1987), the only other albums they did in that decade beside Drama.  Ironically, their biggest hits and most mainstream musical success, financially, came from 90125.

Anyway, as you can see, I could talk Yes for days, but I will spare you.  I would really love for you to check out some of their albums completely and let me know what you think! ;D
