Disco Inferno (The Trammps, 1976)

Someone had to do it. I just hoped it wouldn't have been me. I didn't play the intro - outro riff correctly. The original had its troubles. This one has a bunch of new ones.

I did this for the fest. A fest of my own. The one where you think the song was released in 1977, but instead it was released in 1976. I call it the ALMOST fest. The runner up was CLOSE, BUT NO CIGAR fest, but that sounded too complicated...

The guitars were once again thru the FFF and the bass was Framus. Nothing much was in tune.

Great take on this, love how you've made it your own ! I noticed this song when I was looking through the UK charts for 1977 for some inspiration but it was released on 28 December 1976 so it misses out by just a few days. Shame !
Reminds me of a drunken night in Tenerife a few years ago when I was coerced into accompanying the singer in the bar on an inflatable guitar when he performed this song

I'd say THIS is a reason for doing songs like this! It immediately validates its existence There are SO MANY rights in that lone sentence. DRUNKEN, TENERIFE, COERCED, BAR, INFLATABLE, PERFORMED.

If this was a competition you would have already one. Actually i think you still did!

This is so beyond fun... I just love it... back in the day I wouldn't touch disco with a ten foot pole...mostly the whole disco scene nauseated me... the music didn't bother me so much it was just more what went along with it....but nowadays if I like the music I like it and the other stuff doesn't matter.
I was listening to this working out this morning on the eliptical and I decided that I want to use this live.... so I am going to add the track to my Zoom R24 and when I do that electric set live I am going to have you singing and playing and I am going to see what happens from there

Yeah brilliant Zoltan. Loads of fun, for some reason I am picturing a fun comedy video accompanying this, just crazy dancing middle aged folk, that can't actually dance wearing stupid clothes. Sorry for sharing that but this tune was making me smile and that is what came to mind!!     

Just for taking this song on you deserve extra bonus points! Great fun, loved it.
