Oh my it was hot today. I recorded this in the hut. I had the doors open when i did the music and listened and recorded using cheap monitors. when it was time to do the vocals, I had to close the doors and don my headphones. I was so soaked in sweat at some points I couldn't read the lyrics for sweat in my eyes. Plus i have a bit of a croaky throat today so excuse the growl.Oh it's in 3/4.
It is what it is.
But for the wind
I would fly
But for the sun
I would crash and burn
but for the stars
I would sing
I would sing my song
I would sing my song to them
But for the sea
I would swim
but for the clouds
I could see the light
But for the birds
I would sing
I would sing my song
I would sing song to them
It's something i just gotta do
So let me sing my song for you
But for the wind
I would fly
But for the sun
I would crash and burn
but for the stars
I would sing
I will sing my song
I will sing my song for you
I Will sing My Song

Beautiful words, and the melody is lovely.
I can feel the heat of the day, as you soak in sweat!
Love the timbre in your vocals, very nice singing!!!
I love the guitar track!!!
Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Very nice, James.

I read about the temps you're getting over there - bleargh. Over on this side of the pond we call that a "scorcha"!

Hope you all get some relief from the heat soon.

we have not had it as bad as our neighbours down south. Today has been the first proper hot day. That said I'm off to Kos on Wednesday so should be acclimatised prior to going lol.

Great song James ! Kudos to you for recording on a day like this. It hit 34C down here today but its very clammy. I wanted to do a bit of recording today but couldn't face sitting in a hot room with headphones on. Enjoy Kos !

Nice atmospheric song there. Yo are a maverick to record in this heat  8)

Brilliant!

Nice atmosphere (ethereal yes🙂). The chorus has a bit Jesus and the Mary chain vibe, imo (without distorted guitars, tho...)

Excellent job!

Great vocal sound. Croaky, or not. The lyrics are good. The vibe is there. It's a very moody composition and something that's hard to imagine being record in a hut with open doors while suffering from the heat.

Superb song & performance!
