Well there you go my first ever reggae attempt. What a great tune from Bob though... it's true 77 is a bit of a treasure trove I think.

Enjoyed doing this one and it all happened pretty fast in a couple of evenings. Put down a drum loop to see if I would be able to manage it. Pulled off the rhythm guitar just about. Didn't go for real bass this time as I thought it might be too difficult, but probably more just because I was lazy :)

Spent a bit of time laying out the drums in GarageBand at the end.

Laziness is the mother of invention! And i'm quite sure Bob Marley was a bit lazy too...

You've arrived into the right headspace and done wonders with this cover. The attention is in the grooves and the vocals and it works. I really like your vocals in everything you do, but have already pigeon-holed you as the guy who does the best Thin Lizzy covers (A voice i'd like to own!). But after this... I think i also want to hear more Marley / reggae and everything else you can throw into SC! :D

Ten points for the vocals, same for the guitars and a glossy scrap picture for the laziness.

Nice! This song and I go way back.

1977 and 1978 were years when my (older) sister still lived at home. She had job and a little money. She would buy albums on a whim, and give them to me if she didn't like them much. She gave me Babylon by Bus, and I was introduced to reggae and to "Jamming" (the live version).

This one takes me back to the reggae scene in Cambridge with the rastas with their heads in the bass speakers and a great vibe going on with everyone high ....great times thanks for taking me back.... Excellent cover too ;/

Great cover here Mike

"I Think Bob Marley Was A Bit Lazy"  ;D  ;D Classic line

I think you nailed that Bass Line it has a great Reggae groove. I'm the same with recording drums, if i spend too long on them it kills the song for me so sometimes, less is more

Enjoyed that Mike, has a real reggae feel (not that I'd know). It seems to have energy and calm in equal measure.
