Not a genera I normally listen too, but I really enjoyed this.  All the guitar sounds are perfect and perfectly mixed.  And the vocal is icing on the top, just the appropriate amount of grit.  Would like to know all the info on the guitar amp/FX and which drums you used?

There's two guitar tracks, both my Reverend Jetstream RB.

Last year I bought a Blackstar Dept 10 Dual Drive pedal to add a bit of valve (tube) warmth to the amp I use in my band coupled up to the multi-effects unit I use. Last month I decided to build a pedalboard as I think it will be easier to tweak settings during a gig than going into the menus on a multi-effects. For recording, I usually just use the built in patches on my Boss BR800 but during the last few months I've been experimenting with the Dual Drive pedal. If you listen to a couple of my tracks from the 1972 Fest, Gudbye t'Jane and Wig Wam Bam, the guitar tones are entirely from that pedal. My last two tracks, Sheena and The Passenger, the guitar tones are from my pedalboard which I built around the Dual Drive. The Dual Drive costs about $300 in the US and the other pedals were just budget pedals ($60 or less). So the sounds on this song are my Dual Drive with a touch of reverb and delay and a bit of overdrive from either of the 2 overdrive pedals and the TC Electronic Spark boost. When you record from the Dual Drive you can add cabinet simulation(1 x 12, 2 x12, 4 x 10, 4 x12 etc) and power amp simulation (6L6, EL34 or EL84) so you can approximate the sound of, say, a Fender amp or a Marshall or Vox.

The drums are from a BR800 patch.

Here's my pedalboard: no modulation pedals yet as I don't need any for my band but I'm sure a few will appear shortly !

Thanks Nick !  It's fairly basic..I joined a new soul band last year so it's mainly clean guitar with a little bit of overdrive on some songs so it should serve it's purpose. And for recording anything rock-ish, just turn the gain up and it does that too.

Here's a link to my band if you're interested:

Not the sort of music I grew up with but it's still great fun playing - gets the audience going !

Nice setup & pedalboard! It was also great to see your band in action. Soul stuff is the best :)
